Piano

Got a nice piano book with pieces by Joe Hisaishi.

Playing Asian Dream Song, HANA-BI, and Kids Return.

Also, I'm trying to catch up on the Bleach mangas and animes, but I'm still only on the 4th book and on the 9th-ish episode. It'll take forever to get up to that point...

You all, my friends

Sorry I haven't posted much while since I've been back. I've been . . . busy. With MMORPGs. (Ok, ok, I know that's not a reasonable excuse, but I'm bored, it's summer, and what else am I supposed to do?)

LaTale, to be exact.

So if you do have a LaTale, you may become my buddy. I'm Integrand, a knight (trying to be a guardian), and I'm level 28, as of now. Oh yeah, I'm playing as a male character with peacock green (although it looks blue) hair and pink eyes. What a shocker.

And I've been trying to write a comic/manga, with the subject of alternate universes and dreams. (And spiders, oh my.) But I haven't even designed the cover (though I've designed the title page and the first 2 pages). No thanks to sounds4nate for helping.... Grrrr...

Some deviations I've posted recently:

Amaranthine Blaze, a request from someone who wanted me to draw her Gaia

Shy, I drew this during my absence from my computer.

Pikachu, for my friend, G. L., the very same one publishing Spades

Trapped in yours forever, a picture I drew to fit the frame, but it looked so good to me, I colored it, and Photoshopped it a little bit

And Chasing Rabbits, a character from G. L.'s story, Spades, named Toto. He's both the dog and the human, but not at the same time, so that means my picture is erroneous.

Oh, by the way, G. L. does have a deviantart. See some of her work at www.coffeeness.deviantart.com.

And, my gracious brother showed me the head ending from Which? It wasn't as scary as the heart ending to me, but it was in the middle of the day. Also, I plan to put a CPR dummy mask (which I got through CPR training, duh) under the toilet lids so one of my siblings will freak out when they open the toilet. Mwahaha....

Miss you all, my friends.

Thirteen

Why do people have triskaidekaphobia? It's not such a bad number. Just for fun at the people who do, I'll put the number thirteen times here.

13 13 13 13 13 13 13 13 13 13 13 13 13

Did I creep anyone out yet? I wish....

Well anyways, this 13-obsessed post is inspired again by Number Freak, the book I mentioned in my last post. I guess because 13 is a prime number, and also with the fact that it's next to a near-perfect number, 12, people get freaked out. It's just so funny how superstitious people are, I purposely like thirteen to creep them out.

  • Tuesday the 13th is bad luck in Greece, Spain, and a few other cultures.
  • FDR was a very prominent triskaidekaphobe. And he was so scared of the number, he died on Thursday the 12th, just to avoid Friday the 13th. (Lol, I'm just kidding, you know that?)
  • In our $1 bill, there are 13s everywhere.
    • 13 stars above eagle
    • 13 steps on the Pyramid
    • 13 letters in ANNUIT COEPTIS
    • 13 letters in E PLURIBUS UNUM
    • 13 vertical bars on the shield
    • 13 horizontal stripes at the top of the shield
    • 13 leaves on the olive branch
    • 13 fruits
    • 13 arrows
  • ELEVEN PLUS TWO = 13 = TWELVE PLUS ONE (anagram)
So there's the subject I wanted to mention.

And what do you think about this piece? I feel like it all the time:

I'm in your heart forever.

Number Freak

Was at my local library. Checked out Number Freak by Derrick Niederman. Some number facts I know now:

  • All odd numbers have the letter e, making 2 the only prime number without "e".
  • Five queens are sufficient to attack any square on a chessboard.
  • You can move a knight 35 times without having it to cross its own path on a chessboard.
  • The number one has too many special properties for its own good.
And many more....

Also saw Rurouni Kenshin there. But they only have book 4 and 6. Not a single book one in the entire system. What a letdown....

Relax

Oil painting is very soothing after a hard day. Sure it's messy, and you have to be patient, but watching the brush blend colors smoothly together keeps me calm for some reason.

Here's the first stage of my oil painting. The basic maroon background and "wings" weren't painted by me, because that particular person tried to oil paint and ended up preferring watercolors. I just added the clouds, grass, and human figure.

hehe... I don't feel like rotating it...
