LostandTaken Textures on Flickr. No credit is needed, and you can use it freely. Grunge, skin, clouds, you name it. Most likely, they have it.

Ah, semester finals are coming up! Good luck, everyone! All I need to study is my PreCal and my English. The rest should be cake.

This is the 50th post on this blog. Seems I've come a long way. Sort of. Not really.

Been busy lately. But then I've also been procrastinating. Shoot me now. 0_0

I've got a tegaki, but I don't have a tablet so it won't be great. And I won't be posting a lot on there. And whatever I post on there, I'll probably post on here as well as my deviantArt.

I haven't posted picture of the day in a long while, have I? I don't really have anything yet~

Hey fellow potatoes. Currently I'm not doing so good in PreCal. That means I've got to study more (like a good little Asian should) and so I won't be online as much as I was last week (that means 1 or 2 hours per day rather than 4). That also means the requests will take longer than usual to finish, so I hope you understand. If you need anything, please email me at therawpotato@gmail.com. I'll check that every day.

As a side not, I have fire ants crawling all around my computer and I was bitten on my toe and ankle. (I also happened to twist my ankle too.) The toe isn't so bad, since the toe has thicker skin, but the ankle is terribly swollen. (T_T) I'm afraid to put my feet on the floor. Why not squish the little buggers? Well, If you read my last post, To squish or not to squish, you can see my predicament.

Also have finished reading Duararara! and have started reading Are You Alice? AYA is drawn by the same mangaka as the one who's writing Zanbara. I'm so jealous of his style. (*_*)

Summer is almost gone

Hey fellas.

As August is dawning, I'm realizing that this momentary state of peace will soon be interrupted by schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and more. So I'm going to treasure the last few days before the hectic routine takes over once more.

Today is my friend's birthday. She's a very loyal and respectful person. We live a few hours apart now, so I'm hoping I can mail her something. She probably won't get it in time though.

I hurt my back on a roller coaster Sunday. Still aches. I think it's either a muscle or bone injury.

I've been LaTale-ing a bit more. Lvl. 30. Made some friends. That's me down there. Yes, I play as a guy.

As mentioned in the previous post, I'm catching up on Bleach. Haven't made much progress yet.

I'm so sorry, my customers. I haven't gotten the bookmarks done, because I haven't gone shopping for card-stock or laminated them yet. As for my clients that want watercolors, I'm going to get them done this afternoon (if possible). Don't be angry with me...

As for all those awards I got at the ceremony, I can't help it if I'm smart... I don't know whether to be ashamed or to be proud.

Tried to make a t-shirt. Haven't finished.

Also have a lot of math homework, but that's too boring and time-consuming.

Have a lot of leftover pizza. Must eat it for lunch.

Still working on the first two commishes that I've got (both bookmarks). I still need to get some supplies.... Maybe I'll get a laminating machine (so expensive) so it'll look professional. Also, I've gotten a 3rd commission from my awesome friend who makes great art! 8D. It's going to be a full-colored watercolor ($5), and I've already drawn most of it out. I just need to paint. There's also this kid who doesn't have enough money yet, but he'll buy anything I draw. (Hooray!)

Recently, I've joined Den of Angels forum to research about BJDs and I've stumbled upon a nice looking one for only $200. (Expensive, but decent in the BJD world.)

Turns out, the cardinals laid 3 eggs and abandoned it. Eggs were buried later.

Found out this awesome new comic, Hanna is not a Boy's Name. It's about a zombie, a weird 24-year old college kid, vampires, werewolves, and much more. The artist happens to be a "Starbucks barista by daya wannabe comic artist by night". Although I have to say, she's so much better than just a wannabe.

I've begun to Photoshop more. I get on Mondays, mostly. Sometimes the weekend. Recent projects I'm working on are an OC that has a trenchcoat (plus a tie!) and fanart of Oz from PH.

Current art project: oil pastels. I mean, oil pastels aren't bad. They're just like thick, oily, and blend-able crayons. I do prefer crayons (the kind that is waxy enough to blend easily, but not flake) over oil pastels, because you can get more detail in and not have to wash your hands because of the icky greasiness. But art teachers can be stubborn sometimes.

I have an "I love Hong Kong" t-shirt. I've always joked about it being "I love Hershey Kisses." In class, one of my friends said, "I didn't know you liked hot Koreans." What random ecstasy!

Cardinals beginning to nest in my yard. Wonder how that will turn out. My dog has been in a good mood recently...


Testing tomorrow..... Be prepared to DIE! (Well, at least that's the case for me...) Ok, testing is over. The Social Studies test wasn't as hard as people said it was. You just have to remember key dates and stuff. The reason I did so well is because I can listen and draw at the same time. As the teacher is rambling on about civil war, I'll be drawing OCs and random crap...

I'm drawing so much, I hardly have enough time to practice my Photoshop on it all. Maybe I should just get someone else to do the PS, but then the work wouldn't completely be mine.

Finally, I finished my first Photoshop project, an original character. He's featured in the little gadget there on the side of the blog, but I'll put it here too.

Gotta work on the shading more.

Had a weird dream. I dreamed that I was Gil from Pandora Hearts and I was at Pandora. Vincent wanted me to play the cello in front of the top brass (with an ensemble). I knew I sucked at cello, so I asked him if there was anyone else who could play instead of me. There wasn't. So anyways, Vincent led me and Liam to the auditorium. (WTH was Liam doing there anyway?) The pathway to the auditorium was creepy; skeletal figures greeted us as we drifted by in a watery-ish road. The "water" brush my hat. Finally, I played and I sucked. There was even another cello player better than me there. (Except he got a supporting part, not the main part like me.) After the concert, I was furious with Vincent and we both got upset and lock ourselves in our own seperate rooms. And that's the dream. Pretty weird, huh?
